The CEC Pro-life ministry here in Southern California, headed by Father Steve Powers, has developed ties with Survivors Pro-life organization. They have invited our youth to take part in a pro-life training camp. Being involved in the Pro-life ministry has shown us, not only what it can do for the hearts of the people we minister to, but what it can do for our hearts as well. Pastors, you need to encourage your youth and help them raise the funds to attend. The youth of the churches in our diocese will be greatly affected by this training. Don’t miss this opportunity to see them strengthen their relationships with God and have Him set their hearts on fire! What: A Pro-life training camp designed to train up youth in order that they can be an effective force against abortion. The teaching covers everything from life in the womb to legal rights when sidewalk counseling. Youth will also use what they have learned through hands-on activism. Who: The camp is hosted by the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, an effective Pro-life organization that has fought against abortion since 1998. Where: The training camp will be held in Los Angeles, CA. When: July 6-16, 2011 Ages: high school to college-aged Fee: $275 for the CEC if you register before May 27th (otherwise fee is $350). There is also a group rate of $250 for 4+ (We can combine churches for this). Fee includes food, transportation, lodging, training materials, and training!
