Under the leadership and direction of Nikki Reardon, the Sunday school children of St. Paul's CEC in Henderson, Nevada have saved their coins during the last year and deposited them every Sunday into special decorated jars. This was done after a story about the blessing and benefits of giving to the poor and needy was read to the class.
Recently, after hearing and discussing the effect that hurricane Sandy had on some of the families from the Cathedral in New York, the children agreed that the collected money should go to help in whatever area it was needed, for these families. A challenge was presented to St. Paul's Church to match the amount the children had collected. This was met with a good outpouring of support, and the total collected funds of more than $450.00 along with some special hand-made cards were sent to the Cathedral in Malverne, New York in mid-December.

"Battle on, people. Battle on." That was the final command youth from across the nation heard as Creative Director of The Radiance Foundation, Ryan Bomberger, closed out the International ProLife Youth Conference in Los Angeles, just after giving a stellar talk regarding the power of purpose in every child's life.
Though the Conference had many, many excellent speakers, Bomberger was, by far, one of the most compelling. Born out of rape and completely in love with Jesus, Bomberger has become a powerfully motivating speaker whose personal testimony and extensive creativity is pushing the pro-life movement forward with a fresh vigor and focused outlook.

Eleanor Elizabeth “Betty” Adler, wife of Archbishop Adler, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 14, after a long battle with heart and lung ailments. She was 70.
Betty was one of the most gifted people I ever met and seemed to me to continually wear herself out, using those gifts for God and for us. When I think of Betty Adler I recall the scripture, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down is life for his friends.”
Betty was born in Florida, the daughter of a Pentecostal pastor who served many churches from Key West to Panama City. She grew up in Orlando, where she attended and graduated from nursing school. She also met and married her first husband, Major Kenneth Paul Tanner there. She had four children with Major Tanner, one boy and three girls, before enduring his heroic death in Vietnam in the summer of 1970.
For the next four years she worked as a nurse and raised their children. Then she met and married a young Pentecostal minister, the man we know as Archbishop Adler. She would spend the rest of her life traveling with him around the globe in his prophetic ministry, then as a pastor’s wife to churches in North Palm Beach, Orlando and finally Southern California, where they served St. Michael’s Church for 27 years.
Betty was used tremendously in worship and praise. Who can’t hear her voice right now if we stop and listen? As well as a fabulous voice and perfect pitch, her confidence, faith and boldness for God seemed to shine through her music. When Betty was done singing, you felt ministered to and it was impossible not to feel proud to be a Christian.

Dear brothers and sisters,
Karen and I just returned from a whirlwind trip to the northwest. We had an opportunity to visit the families of four of our priests and minister to several congregation.
We had a wonderful time with Father Jim Wright and his wife Nikki in Hillsboro Oregon. Father Jim stays incredibly busy with a jail ministry, a ministry at a senior citizen home and his own church Holy Cross Community Church in Hillsboro. Jim and Nikki are in every way true servants of God and went out of their way to make a wonderful trip for Karen and I.
On Friday evening we had an opportunity to help them in their ministry at the senior citizen home where we enjoyed dinner and a great movie, that's right, they have their own movie theater.
Saturday morning we left at the crack of dawn for cottage Grove, in southern Oregon where Father Jonathan Landon and his family recently moved. Father David Conroy and his wife Darcy are at the moment living with father Jonathan and his wife Rebecca and their daughter Naomi. Father Jim was gracious enough to drive us down and we had a wonderful day with the two families discussing future ministry for both. Father Jonathan and Becky have a wonderful home embedded in the forest on a couple acres. We are all praying for Fr. Jonathan to secure good employment. He has just retired from the Army where he served as a chaplain, last in Colorado.
